Material: EVA 

Ethylene Vinyl Acetate (EVA) is widely recognized as safe for use in shoes and dental pads. EVA is a plastic that requires no plasticizers and is free of Bisphenol A and is therefore considered a safer alternative material. [...] The Center for Health, Environment, and Justice (CEHJ) recommends EVA as a safer alternative to PVC-free plastics.

The calorific value of EVA is similar to that of petroleum. Therefore, EVA can be considered a fairly environmentally friendly material.
